Well once again an opportunity to go to Enchanted Rock has been passed up. Fate has intervened it would seem. This morning I woke up with breathing issues and know better than to climb today.
I guess Andy might have a shot after all to be the first one to show me the place. That seems fitting somehow.
It's nice that I've found an old friend again...

I didn't make it to where I was going either Ginny, seems it was that kinda of weekend. Take care you wee pixie.
I hope you feel better soon. How disappointing to miss out on this climb. :-/
Sending you warm fuzzies and best wishes!
Thanks you two. I am still having a little asthma today but it's much calmer than when I woke up yesterday.
This has been a bad season for everyone as far as upper respiratory crud goes.
Shit Girl--I've been there, hiked to the top with a 12 month-old baby strapped to my back, it was GREAT! If the opportunity doesn't arise soon for you to do this, let me know, we could pack up the wee heathens and hit it! If I did it with one baby, I can do it with the other... have backpack, will travel! :-)

My wee heathen would complain the whole time believe me. He doesn't like hiking at all right now. Maybe with a friend along he will do better.
Speaking of backpacks...I have a friend in California who says she has one that will fit Ben. Russell thinks I should strap Ben to my back for the times I'm wanting to go on a more serious hike.
I'm thinking 40lbs of kid plus whatever water I can strap on might be a bit much for a serious hike. I'm not sure Russell is being very realistic about this...
Don't serious hikes usually entail some sort of challenging terrain? The last thing I'd want on a precarious path is a 40lb child having a tantrum on my back.
TIMBER!!!!!!
TIMBER!!!!!!
Well that about says it all.

Ian is 40 lbs and there is no FREAKIN' way I'd strap him to my back! I don't care how good of shape I was in! Besides, you're not a pack mule! :-) Nah, once the Wiggle hits 25-lbs, she'll be booted as well!
As far as Ben hiking, maybe he would do better with a buddy, so long as they didn't get into a wrestling match and roll off the rock!
Or maybe, just maybe I could take some time away and have the wee heathens bug Daddy for awhile some weekend when he's not out on business.
