Woo Hoo! Free Shoes!

I have a membership at REI which pays me yearly dividends and this year my check was for 67.00. I found a pair of Vasques that are awesome. They were originally 100.00, but were reduced to 59.00...I made off like a bandit on this. :)

They are trail runners and are oh so beautiful. I can't wait to get on a trail somewhere and try them out. I've been wearing them and they are incredibly comfortable. So now I have a light weight pair of hiking shoes for summer, and heavier boots for winter. This is exciting stuff for me...it's like Christmas!

Latest Pics of Me with Friends

This is Windy and me. She's a cool chick and a total sweetheart. This pic was taken at her going away party a couple of months ago. I miss you Windy! Austin isn't the same with out you.

This is Roland. He's one of the most awesome chill people I've met in some time. Roland has his Master's in Human Resources and we are all thrilled for him because he just landed a great job. Go Roland!!

Here I am with Dianna. I love the expression on her face...she's loads of fun!

Picture Time!

Ben's appetite kicked in about 8 weeks ago and he is an eating machine now! I used to worry that he wasn't eating enough, but my worries are over...or are they? Hmmm, maybe now I have something new to worry about...not being eaten out of house and home! Anyway, I love this picture because his cheeks are so cute and chipmunk like. :)

Ben being his comedic natural self. The other two boys are his friends Calvin and Brom

Not to brag too much or anything, but my daughters are GORGEOUS! This is Sam.

This is Caitlin with her new Cousin Maddy. We all fell in love with my niece when she was here with her mama for a visit.

I don't know why this picture is so small and I'm not complaining because it was in the bunch that I thought was deleted. Anyway, this is my nephew Jack and yes he just took down all the dvds. It was a huge crash and not one of us could get angry because this is Jack we're talking about, and he is just being himself. Little toot!

Ben loves his new shades and new pool. We've worn this swimming pool out over the past few weeks. I'm sure we got our 20 bucks worth.

I'm Dracula...MWHAHAHAHAHA

View from my back porch. I enjoy sitting out here to think and soak up some fresh air.

Yep he loves it!

This is my darling niece "Sparky". She is going to be a fine artist just like all the other females in our family.

I did this back in 2002 and had forgotten all about it until Sam pulled it out of a box all folded up. I gave it to her one year to hang in her room. The photo quality is awful, but in real life the colors are vivid and it's one of my favorite pieces of art I've done to date.

This one's for you Gilbert. :)

Just a bridge

Ben and Sam built this "fort" yesterday. When my sister and I were little, we used to build forts like this all the time.

Sorry...No Pics Yet...

I was going to upload all the pics from my camera, but to my horror all my lovely pictures were gone! There were so many cute pictures of Ben I could have cried thinking they were lost forever. Then I mentioned it to my daughter Sam and she said she uploaded them to her laptop. WHEW!

Needless to say, I'm happy my pictures are not gone forever, but it's going to be a huge pain in the ass to get them through email. Hopefully I won't have to nag her too much! I told her I had fans waiting. ;)

So, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Picture Update Coming Soon

I have many pictures in my camera that I have not uploaded yet, but plan on doing it tonight or tomorrow. They are several weeks old, but I'm sure no one will complain since I'm actually putting something out there. I know how boring it is to visit blogs that haven't had any posts in weeks, months...

I want to send a special hello to Ara,Spirit, and to Sean. You guys may be the only ones left reading any of this stuff!

Screech Owl One Night, Great Horned the Next!

I love going out on my back porch in the late hours of the night and listen to the night sounds. About three nights ago I heard a screech owl calling out many times, then the next night I heard a Great Horned Owl whooting in the night, to which I entertained myself for a long while imitating it's calls and getting responses back. I love the sound of Owls! They are up there with Coyotes in my book. I always get so thrilled when I hear or see wild animals not far from my house.

Simple things like this bring me much pleasure.
