Solo Trip?

It is looking like I might actually get a weekend to myself and am pondering a solo back pack trip to one of the primitive campsites along Lake Georgetown. I totally prefer having someone along so if there are any takers let me know. If I don't actually get the time I'm hoping for, I might just pull together a last minute car camping trip instead. It will be strange having free time and actually getting to sleep in my tent for a change...I will relish the thought of it for a while...

You are a tease. I wish I could go camping right about now.

Take care - I would be careful about camping hiking alone.

Well, I hope you get that weekend, but it is a risky idea to go it alone, given your recent fainting episode, etc.
For example: Brenda, my client, just broke her hip falling over a baby gate at the bottom of her steps carrying one of her dogs outside to potty. It was at night, she was alone, and lay there for hours until someone heard her calling for help. A neighbor finally came to her aid.
She had to have surgery for a complete hip replacement.
Anything can happen when you are alone, and unless you have one of those "alert" systems around your neck, and IF you are conscious to press it, you are in deep doo doo getting help. Cell phones don't always have service in some areas, too. so...get someone to go with you.

It is great that you are going to get some time for yourself. And the exercise is something you have missed. Be careful though. I hate you camping alone at night. Not for wild animals, but because of weirdos!

Well going solo is certainly risky especially for a female...

It's a moot point now though since my buddy Elliott just called me and said he wants to hike with me tomorrow. Woo hoo! Neither one of us has through hiked the Barton Creek Greenbelt so that is what we are going to do. It's a 12 mile one way walk. That will be some great exercise! I can't wait!!!

Elliot is the model right? Sorry just had a mental picture of some wild creature surprising you on your walk and Elliot leaping into your arms ;) .

Just kidding Elliot.

Actually Elliott isn't modeling, but a while back he had an opportunity that he didn't pursue. I guess he decided it wasn't for him even though all his female friends think he'd do great.
