I've put tons of money into my crappy car over the last two months or so, and today I just got it inspected. It was washed a few days ago and looking good. All that was wrong was fixed...new tires, etc...
On the way home today from my girlfriend's house, some guy in a big truck plowed right into me. He went straight when I thought he was in a left turn only lane and was supposed to turn left. The driver side of my car is messed up now. The mirror has been knocked off and and the door is now hard to open and close, not to mention all the body damage. I don't even know really at this point who was at fault. At the time of the accident he said it was his fault, but then he later came back and said he wasn't sure anymore, that it could have been my fault.
He and I both actually think it's the city's fault because there were no signs indicating which lanes are what. There were three lanes, and he was in the far left. I was in the middle lane, and then there was a right turn only lane in the far right. At the intersection we were at, I've always turned left from the middle lane because there used to be signs at that intersection indicating that was a legal turn. But now there are no signs! I didn't even notice there were no signs until he pointed it out and I went back to the scene and looked myself. I think maybe I'm at fault but don't know for sure.
Sheesh, the guy who hit me asked me out to dinner. Can you believe that? When I said I wasn't sure what to do at this point, he said "Let me take you out to dinner and we can talk about it". I quickly informed him I was married!

so, let me get this straight...you both were next to each other, and you turned left from the middle lane, and you thought HE was going to turn left, also, only he went straight?? and the signs indicating which lanes were for what were gone?? Sounds like you should have been in the left lane and he in the middle lane.
was he good looking? lol
sorry this happened to your car. It *is* always something...that is for sure.
Glad that the Blog finds you well... cars? easily fixable... human bodies?... not quite as...
Thanks for your last comment on your own Blog regarding... not all my writing is as sad as October 13th, and as I also read "it is reality".
And yes, I also read "Joes Big Blog"... I just love his entertainement...
You be well... Ara & Spirit
Only you, my friend, could get hit on at the scene of an accident. ;) Glad to hear that you're physically ok.
Oh my! I am glad you are alright! I am surprised you didn't call the police for a report! Now I am not sure what will happen. I think this is a final message that you need to quit sinking money into a lemon! lol Too bad Russell doesn't see it that way. We got tired of wasting money on the Buick. I am so glad to have a reliable car now. Hope your week gets better:-)
was he good looking? lol
Ha mom! Actually no he wasn't one bit attractive...had he been I might not have had to accept fault for that one...maybe a date would have smoothed the waters over a bit? ;)

I tell ya that's a first! I have to admit I was looking pretty cute yesterday. :)
And welcome Ara! I'm very excited you decided to comment. Also thank you for the wonderful email you sent me. I will certainly write back to you in the near future.
Glad you are ok. Car stuff sucks!
Thanks Poodles...I think my pride took a hit more than anything.
Oh well that and our pocket book will take a hit if we decide to get the damages on my car repaired. The jury is still out on that one...
What happened was he was staring at you wonderous visage and was at a loss about how to meet you in person
