Elliott is actually wearing shoes! Usually when he hikes with me he is in flip flops.
On the trail
I love streams
For a good section of the hike we passed these tall yellow flowers. They were profuse and the bees working them over were in high numbers as well. Walking through here, one could hear the throng of bees. It sounded like we were walking next to bee hives! This was my favorite part of the walk.

I guess bees are so busy buzzing they don't bother you?? Pretty pathway with the yellow wildflowers on either side. Of course, I love the creek/stream pics, too. That would have been the perfect walk if the temps were around, oh say, 65F! lol
It was a nice walk but not long enough, and too many other people were on the trail. I sure did enjoy those bees though. :)
Looks like fun. Flip flops do not sound like good hiking shoes. :)
Heh, Elliott swears by them but he is just showing off.
