Don't Laugh Too Hard...

I finally broke down and bought myself a pair of reading glasses. Damn my eyesight is getting awful in my older age. I used to have such great eyesight...I miss those days. Oh well, here is a pic for your full amusement. I don't want to hear any librarian jokes or anything like that, so I'm warnin ya now! lol

I've had glasses since 4th grade, so no chuckles here, only envy that you held out so long.

Sean is going to love this pic of his wee pixie in the bathroom with naught but her spectacles!

Ha yes! I am in nothing but mere spectacles now that you mention it. I didn't think anyone would notice, but you busted me. Please ignore the dirty towel in the background. I used it to clean up a terrible makeup mishap lol.

Thanks Sam. I can always count on an honest opinion from my teens lol.

They look good. I wear them only for driving, but I keep about 4 pair at all times, I have a horrible tendency to break them. I have some black ones similar to yours.

I just can't wait for mine to get bad enough for lasik.

When I had to go to bifocals, well, that was a sign that I've turned into a middle aged man. *sigh* Age gets us all, eventually.

And, I'm with Kazim. Librarians are hot.

glasses are sexy. I have had to start wearing them too.

Yeah I am with Kazim on this one. There is something about glasses/ librarians that says intelligence and resevered/ bound passion.

Now if you look over the top of your glasses and give me stern look I am likely to go weak at the knees ;)

I really need to check out your blog more often -- it's in my "Good Reads" bookmark folder, but there's so much to read, lol!

My experience with reading glasses was that one day I woke up and all the fonts in the world were one size smaller -- it seemed to happen so fast! (But that was 10 years ago, and I'm still wearing the same strength glasses.)

Hi Susan, thanks for letting me know you are enjoying the blog. Yes it is a lot of reading. I like to go back from time to time into my archives and read old trip reports.
