Sorry No Pics Yet of Gingerbread Making

I was going to get that done today, but instead I got very distracted and spent most of my day researching gear...specifically stoves...for backpacking. At first I was going to buy a stove, but now I think I'll just make my own. It looks easy enough and will be very inexpensive. I'm pretty excited about this little project actually and will post pictures of my stove after I've made it.

You're a gingerbread tease.

And, I think you most definitely want to build your own stove. That way you can control how you carry it (evening out the weight). And, there will be times when you only need one or two components - it's just easier if you build your own. If something breaks, you don't have to wait weeks to get replacement parts. But, if you're going to get one - check with the places you're planning on hiking in and make sure that most (if not all) give the okay for the make and model you end up buying. I got kind of screwed on my first pack stove when I took it to Montana and Hood, only to find out that it wasn't reg for their permits.
