Stuff from the Holidays

I have been very lazy after Thanksgiving and not done much of interest, but here are a few pictures from the holidays.

I didn't take many pictures of food but managed to get a plate of leftovers photographed.

The leaves I picked up on a walk a while back made for good holiday decoration

The roasted turkey!

Spirits

My work space. I like having cabinets with no doors...makes things easier!

Where I prepare food every day

The brine I made. This solution was diluted with a gallon of cold water and the turkey sat in it for 12 hours.

Fresh green beans ready for the cooking pot

Fresh cranberries ready for the cooking pot

The beginnings of the dressing

Why is it your food pics always look so bright and beautiful and my food photos always turn out looking pathetic??? Man, wish I had been at your house for turkey dinner... looks YUMMY!

Thanks. I still have much work to do but for now it's quite functional.

Oh good, I am glad you liked the pics. I was a little concerned that the quality of them wasn't very good. My camera isn't the greatest.

Hi JD, welcome. You are a new face around here. If you would like to continue to comment, you should make a name for yourself. :)

As for the wine, I had it on hand but we never got around to opening a bottle.

You have given me hunger pains just looking at the food.

I like a functional kichen. When we get ours redesigned I am going to have a much big bench to work on.
